Position Description:

The Laboratory Systems Associate is responsible for providing support for laboratory systems, focused on validated systems. This includes system lifecycle management from onboarding through decommissioning, inventory.

The Laboratory Systems Associate leads end user support efforts for all laboratory systems, including instrumentation and cross-departmental applications and provides expertise and guidance on new equipment purchases.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

The Laboratory Systems Associate is responsible for providing support for laboratory systems, focused on validated systems. This includes system lifecycle management from onboarding through decommissioning, inventory.

The Laboratory Systems Associate leads end user support efforts for all laboratory systems, including instrumentation and cross-departmental applications and provides expertise and guidance on new equipment purchases.

Incident Management and Response

• Provide level III desk side support for GxP desktops and laptop computers

• Provide application support for laboratory instrumentation specific software

• Manage change control records in TrackWise for validated computers following change management procedures

• Manage incident and service request tickets in ServiceNow

• Maintain an accurate inventory of laboratory computers in the ServiceNow CMDB

• Proactively raise technology related risks, issues, and challenges

• Work with vendors to troubleshoot system-related issues

• Serve as the liaison with IT Infrastructure and Field Services for laboratory systems

• Collaborate with the Service Desk to coordinate support activities and knowledge transfer

• Document system-related activities for managing applications including support, maintenance, and changes in a manner consistent with departmental SOPs

• Provide coverage to Transgenic Labs in US as required

Laboratory Computer System Validation Project Support

• Function as the primary IT Subject Matter Expert for workstation qualifications

• Perform laboratory computer system validation activities, including workstation qualification, NuGenesis-SDMS configuration and Secure Desktop installation and qualification

• Execute related test scripts in the ValGenesis

• Manage change control records in TrackWise

• Author System Administration SOPs in the Veeva Vault Quality

• Coordinate the provisioning and on-boarding of new laboratory computers, including setup, installation, and configuration

• Interact with laboratory staff and other departments as required to meet objectives

• Lead in installing applications or liaising with vendor for installation related activities (new implementations and standard upgrades)

• Review release notes for software installations/upgrades for technical impact

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Minimum 3 years of progressive levels of system administration and experience in computer systems validation.

• Minimum of 2 years pharmaceutical, biotechnology or laboratory experience.

• ServiceNow experience; Knowledge of IT Tools and processes as it relates to ITIL.

• Detail-oriented, self-starter and able to work both independently and in a team environment

• Strong technical aptitude, demonstrated by experience in implementing, configuring, administering, and testing computer systems.

• Ability to prioritize competing tasks and projects

• Must have experience working directly with senior level staff.
