Position Description:

CGI is looking to hire an experienced Business Systems Analyst. You will work in one of the most significant and highly visible teams, which gives you an opportunity to make a statement across multiple levels with your efforts

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Requirements Documentation

o Assess current state applications/tools and processes (legacy configurator tool)

o Assess information for desired future state (new configuration tool capabilities)

o Review and analyze rulesets of the current legacy configurator to learn details about the products. Review product guides and documentation.

o Guide strategic and detailed discussions with technical and business team members to develop requirements.

o Create features and detailed user stories – capture the need of the business (solution agnostic) along with functional details to satisfy the need of the business

o Create mock-ups and supporting functional documentation

o Create Process Maps and Workflows to document current and desired future state processes

o Review requirements and functional details with the project team

  1. Q/A

o Identify test scenarios and ensure proper coverage of requirements

o Write detailed scripts in a step-by-step format. Clearly define expected results for each step

o Capture and organize feedback from testers

o Lead discussions to triage and prioritize defects during the testing process

o Track and organize testing progress (# of scripts executed, # of scripts remaining, # of scripts passed/failed, # of defects)

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:


Looking for Business Systems Analyst: CGI / DOL (P1-P2 / L1-L2)

  1. 2-3 years of experience as Business Systems Analyst.

  2. Business process management and modeling.

  3. Requirements definition and management.

  4. Detail oriented

a. Review deliverables and ensure the proper level of detail is provided.

b. Ensure deliverable content is clear and accurate.

  1. Problem solving and/or analytical thinking.

a. Able to assess information and derive requirements

b. Remove ambiguity

  1. Decision Making and Influence

  2. Handle changes and unknowns

a. Don’t let change delay the top priorities / current target. Keep driving execution.

b. Analyze and review the potential impact of change to make the best decision possible.

c. Escalate and review change with other members of the project team.

  1. Engage with users

a. If something isn’t clear, ask and get more detail.

b. Ensure the users are being heard when they provide feedback.

  1. Address Problems head on. Communicate and escalate as early as possible

  2. Excellent oral and written communication skills

  3. Ability to simplify & standardize complex concepts and/or processes.

  4. Possess ability to manage workload, manage multiple priorities, and manage conflicts with customers/employees/managers, as applicable.
