CGI Waterville is seeking a Java Developer to work as part of a development team within a Group Insurance companies technology organization. Group insurance products include Life, Disability, Stop Loss, Dental.
Our Software Developers typically have a demonstrated interest in information technology and business, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent interpersonal skills. Software Developers will be placed on one of our many projects and could will be responsible for a number of different tasks.
This position will work within the Waterville, Maine Delivery Center. The client is in the project planning phase. We are looking for candidates who are able to start Dec 2018 or at the latest Jan 2019.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• This individual may be involved in projects on various platforms that support customer acquisition, administration, and claims. However, the insurance quoting application rewrite is the specific project that the client is looking to use this resource on.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Technical skills include:
• Resource should have background in developing high quality software and performing thorough unit testing
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/NON ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
• SQL with an emphasis on JSF
• ColdFusion (those UI technologies are being migrated to JSF and the team will be reverse engineering existing code
• ExtJS gives potential to work with some other applications
