CGI Federal has an immediate opening for a Software Engineer who will provide critical support to Navy program offices during a time of transition to modern software development
processes. The Software Engineer will work closely with Navy program offices to advise the design of a secure software architecture, contribute to the development of a continuous integration and development software delivery process and perform technical
evaluations of available technologies.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Critical role working closely with the Navy client to advise software architecture system changes for improved Navy Combat Systems.
• Work with program offices to apply SecDevOps best practices, policies and directives across numerous developers and integration sites
• Participation in security design reviews of Navy system architecture
• Assist with design and evaluation of cross domain solutions
• Draft technical briefings to explain system changes at various levels of the Navy
• Evaluate next generation technologies and architectural frameworks for implementation within high stress performance environments
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Due to the nature of this government contract, US Citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a DOD Secret security clearance is required.
• At least 5-10 years' experience in Agile Software Development
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.
DevOps Engineering, Implementation or Software Development
Experience with Cloud related technologies including managing the evolution of on-premise solutions to a cloud based application portfolio
Understanding of National Information Exchange Model (NIEM) based messages Software transformation
