Position Description:

CGI is actively seeking a Service Desk Manager to support a 24/7 IT service desk that provides first-line support for a wide-range of systems, comprising both commodity, infrastructure-level IT and mission-specific systems. This is a long term position and work will primarily take place at client facilities in the Washington DC Metropolitan area.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Provide daily supervision and direction to staff who are responsible for service desk activities such as phone and in-person support to users in the areas of email, directories, standard Windows desktop applications, and applications developed or deployed under the order. These personnel serve as the first point of contact for troubleshooting hardware/software PC and printer problems.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• U.S. citizen

• Associates degree or equivalent experience.

• At least 3 years experience managing an IT help/service desk.

• Strong demonstrated leadership abilities.

• Experience researching and developing employee training and performance improvement plans.

• Strong working knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware and peripherals

• Strong knowledge of Windows 7, 10, and OSX operating systems and common office applications.

• Experience using an issue tracking system to record, monitor, and document trouble items and work requests (e.g., Footprints, Remedy, ServiceNow).

• Excellent proven written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong problem solving and research skills.

• Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3 Foundations certification.
