Position Description:
CGI is actively seeking a senior federal systems accountant SME to join the team supporting an agency with their finance and accounting. The member would join a well-established team in support of a dynamic task to support financial analysis, audit, financial operations, and financial management activities at a Government Agency. The member would get the chance to work closely with and learn from team members with significant federal financial management expertise as they complete analysis, recommend and assist in implementing improvements, and provide documentation and training to the client. Candidate will be responsible for providing quality and timely financial analysis and reporting, supporting financial management transaction processing, support financial operations, provide end-user support, and support the preparation of written accounting and financial standard operating procedures. Your future duties and responsibilities:
Perform general ledger analysis and reconciliation, identifying transactional issues and recommending solutions.
Assist with developing Momentum system posting model recommendations following Treasury’s United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL) guidelines.
Support Government wide Treasury Account Symbol (GTAS) and financial statement reporting, including analyzing issues, reviewing Momentum system configuration, and recommending changes.
Conduct business process reengineering (BPR) including analyzing current state, recommending improvements, and assisting with implementing improvements.
Manage and lead key projects for the agency on new initiative, new policy requirements, etc.
-Manage project schedule and report out status of each task area, risks, issues, and items requiring management attention
Support financial statement audit preparation including identifying issues and data cleansing.
Document issues and resolutions as well as other documentation as needed clearly and concisely.
Assist with preparing training materials and conducting informal and formal training as needed.
Participate in client status meetings and document outcomes of those meetings.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Required:
Strong familiarity with the organizations, roles, and systems involved in the federal financial management, budget management, audit, and reporting processes.
Significant experience in financial analysis, financial operations, financial management, and financial reporting support at a large federal agency.
Significant experience using federal ERP systems (CGI Momentum strongly preferred).
Comfortable presenting to senior leadership.
Significant experience and comfort facilitating meetings, working sessions, and group presentations.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $106,300 - $204,600.
