Position Description:

CGI Federal is seeking an Accountant Technician supporting the Civil Division of DoJ.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Responsibilities

  1. Support financial, accounting, and travel processes.

  2. Review and verify invoices and statements

  3. Maintain accounting system data for funds obligated and expended

  4. Review financial source documents for correctness and completeness,

  5. Coding transactions, processing material through data processing for application in accounting system

  6. Analysis and reconciliation of reports and submitted documentation; pursue resolution with operating units

  7. Research discrepancies

  8. Conformance with program requirements, procedures and regulations

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  1. High School diploma and three (3) years’ experience in financial operations

  2. Ability to understand personnel/payroll procedures and techniques and a demonstrated ability to interpret and apply them to a variety of situations;

  3. Knowledge of invoice processing

  4. A demonstrated ability to produce quality, accurate work

  5. Must be able to obtain a DOJ waiver
