Position Description:

The team member will work directly for and report to, the Training Manager supporting Passport Services Technical Operations. The team member will perform a wide range of dynamic and exciting training and business analysis activities to meet the needs of employees in Passport Services. Specifically, the team member will be involved in designing, testing, distributing, presenting and updating training materials related to business processes, business rules, and automated systems supporting passport issuance and processing activities. The team member will work with the various Government clients to coordinate and support training activities for government personnel and contractors in the operational use of all training materials and systems. The team member may provide hands-on training and training materials, and will support training classroom, distant learning/remote or web-enabled training activities, including preparation of training materials, scenarios, and information packages to ensure that personnel using the materials and systems are operationally self-sufficient without the aid of the trainers. Due to contract requirements, must be US Citizen and possess an active Secret clearance.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

In support of training activities, the team member must be able to write Training Plans and Training Requirements documents and create their own curriculum/presentation. The team member will work with the government client to prepare and present training materials such as reference guides, job aids, PowerPoint presentations, and software demonstrations. The team member will work with the Government client and the Passport Web designers/developers to update and maintain a training website (e.g., SharePoint) devoted to the support of ongoing and recent training activities.

The team member may need to provide hands-on training to Helpdesk and Passport field personnel. Such tasks may include analyzing and incorporating training related technology, conducting studies to determine training requirements, teaching, supervising or administering a training program, development or review of training materials, or work that required training or instructing others on a regular basis.

• Two (2) years of in-person and remote training experience (preferably technical training)

• Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing

• Knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques of training

• Ability to design, deliver, maintain, and evaluate training programs

• Ability to analyze feedback from end users and provide guidance/suggestions to customer on ways to improve training sessions or documents

• Background in technical writing

• Technically savvy, able to pick up on new technologies quickly

• Ability and willingness to work with others and independently

• Ability to create training materials including training curriculums, training plans, manuals, user guides, FAQs, and newsletters

• Ability to effectively use MS-Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and other MS-Office products

• Experience using Adobe Connect

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Background or understanding of business requirements

• Experience in writing scripts for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and participating in UATs

• Experience with maintaining and updating SharePoint

• Experience with the State Department/Consular Affairs
