CGI Federal has a need for a Database Administrator for a federal IT program implementation. This is an exciting full-time opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting the US Federal government.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Performing general troubleshooting, database maintenance activities including backup and recovery, and managing user accounts.
Managing schemas, users, roles, implementing and maintaining security models.
Managing indexes and objects and demonstrate an understanding of partitioning tables.
Setting up database maintenance jobs, auditing, and performing upgrades.
Identifying and documenting risk areas and mitigation strategies for process and procedure activities.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Possess at least 2 years of experience with implementing, performance tuning, and supporting multiple types of databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL) with experience in PostgresSQL.
• Secret Clearance
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate details with all levels of management.
• Possess the necessary people skills to identify requirements and deliver results.
• Prior work experience with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
• Experience with:
AWS services and capabilities such as Relational Database Service, Data Migration Service, CloudWatch monitoring and alerting, taking, maintaining, and restoring from snapshots, interpreting database logs, networking, and security group maintenance.
pgAdmin, and pgSQL.
Creating, managing, and implementing PostgreSQL extensions.
Performing data migrations and database conversions (e.g., Oracle to PostgreSQL).

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $74,600- $143,700
