Position Description:

CGI Federal is seeking a Correspondence Management Analyst I to support OLA in DC.

OLA has responsibility for devising and implementing the legislative strategy to carry out the Attorney General's initiatives requiring congressional action. Similarly, OLA articulates the views of the Department, including its components, on congressional legislative initiatives. OLA responds for the Department to requests and inquiries from congressional committees, individual Members of Congress, and their staffs. OLA coordinates the Department's responses to congressional oversight activities involving the Department, as well as the appearance of Department witnesses at congressional hearings and the interagency clearance through the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) of all congressional testimony by representatives of federal agencies. In addition, the Office participates in the Senate confirmation process for Department nominees, such as Assistant Attorneys General.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Work with OLA attorneys to ensure that all letters sent from the Department to Capitol Hill are properly formatted, proofread, and transmitted to the correct Congressional contacts.

• Maintain current, comprehensive list of points of contact for all Congressional correspondence contacts.

• Ensure that outgoing OLA correspondence is saved and appropriately filed on the internal shared drive and tracked in OLA’s internal correspondence tracker.

• Manage front office, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and other tasks as needed.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

• Skill in multi-tasking and ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to identify and solve problems and work independently.

• Excellent reading, writing, and communications skills, and the ability to pay attention to detail.

• Proficiency with correspondence management software highly preferred.

All candidates must be able to obtain a DOJ MRPT Clearance and meet all security requirements.
