Position Description:

CGI Federal is looking for team members at our Tucson Passport Center Book Print Production facility.

The Bookprint Systems Administrator Assistant- 2nd shift will be responsible for providing day-to-day operational support for Windows 2012/2016 Server, Windows 10 workstation, end-user desktop support within a DoS passport Book Production Facility (BPF) and other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidates should possess excellent communication skills and be able to work in a strict Security facility and fast paced environment. This position processes highly sensitive and confidential information. Working for a Federal Government contract experience preferred.

Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US Citizenship is required.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

The System’s Administrator Assistant (SAA), under the direction of a Systems Administrator, will answer help desk calls, emails, and chat requests, acting as a liaison between local government and contract staff, providing Tier2/Tier3 support. Desktop support includes, but is not limited to, TDIS-PD, MS O365, MS Access 2010, Adobe Acrobat, Symantec Endpoint Protection software, MS SharePoint and other DoS-specific client and web-based applications.

Per direction from a Systems Administrator, the SAA will implement agency and Department of State management policies, security policies and procedures, and operating procedures as defined by Passport Services, Passport Systems, Consular Affairs, and other bureaus or offices (e.g. Diplomatic Security, Information Management Liaison, etc.). Performance of various tasks and major assignments related to Passport production operations and/or the Passport systems network operations including, but not limited to, adjusting site configurations to meet changing compliance requirements; managing site security configurations; coordinating with site management on upcoming or ongoing site audits or inspections; and working with agency management to streamline and optimize system operations balancing system security, system operations, and workflow requirements.

Working under the direction of an on-site System Administrator regarding adjustments to production workflow, adjustment to user actions or reactions to system operations, and may need to adjust various workstation operations or configurations to accommodate changes in system requirements, changes in security requirements, or changes in network or site configurations. With the concurrence of site management, adjust maintenance schedules and/or ordering of repair parts with the hardware technician to optimize or facilitate improved workflow operations for limited periods of time.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

-Associate Degree in a related field or a technical certificate from and accredited college or university

-Minimum three (3) years proven hands-on PC troubleshooting or technical support within the last 3 years with,

-Minimum two (2) years’ experience with LAN/WANs, micro-computer communications, and Windows AD within the last 3 years

-Administration, to include network programming language, and DBMS software

-Extensive troubleshooting and user support experience in a MS Windows environment

-Good understanding of Windows Operating System and MS-Office applications

-Good understanding of scanning software and devices

-Ability to work independently

-Able to lift and carry 35lb, boxes and/or equipment

-Ability to successfully complete a Background Investigation to include 50 State Criminal check,

-Education and Employment verifications;

  • Additionally, your ability to successfully complete a Credit and/or Driving Records Checks may be conducted if required by the contract for continued employment

-Possession of an INTERIM SECRET security clearance is required to begin employment; Ability to maintain a SECRET security clearance is required for continued employment

-Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US Citizenship is required.

-An advanced degree in a related field.

-Contract experience working with/for the Federal Government.

-Experience in training and writing documentation.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $49,800 - $78,800.
