Position Description:

The CGI GIS Organization is seeking a junior Oracle / SQL DBA with 1- 2 years’ experience maintaining Oracle databases in a multi-tenant environment.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Managing database on all flavors of UNIX (SUN, AIX, LINUX, HP) & Wintel.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Some experience in a production and or development database environment

• Experience administrating Oracle and MS SQL database servers

• Experience administrating database accounts according to department security and account management policies

• Backup technologies RMAN, Enterprise Backup for full and differential.

• Must be a “self starter” and be able to work on multiple complex projects

• Must be able to pass all required CGI background checks

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills

• Professional and ethical at all times

• Energy, initiative, and a positive attitude

• Candidates must be flexible to work overnight and weekend coverage shifts.
