Position Description:

The IT Business Analyst will have a unique opportunity to lead the SDLC ducomentation effort for technology initiatives. This highly-visible position will lead strategic initiatives that will improve operational performance, define standards and drive consistency for an international constituency.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Drafting business processes

• Writing functional requirements

• Test scripts for development

• User Acceptance Testing and deliverables

• Must have experience defining and driving standardization and best practices across SDLC artifacts

• Must have the ability to define business needs and analyze. This includes but is not limited to scoping, requirements development, process development, communications, planning for individual efforts.

• Needs to understand the basics of developing scope and requirements to create documentation.

• Design and build technical processes to address business issues.

• Must have the ability to define process and develop layered process models.

• Must have very strong core consulting skills.

• Pharmaceutical Experience

• Strong experience with technology and IT organizations is important.

• Must work very well as part of team.

• Identify and document the needs of multiple stakeholders.

• Identifying the current- and future-state business processes.

• Helping the business stakeholders envision the future and how their work will need to change to support the future.

• Delivering elements of systems design, including data migration rules, business rules, wireframes, or other detailed deliverables.

• Facilitate the implementation of new systems and solutions, ensuring they meet business needs and requirements.

• Foster partnership with customers, stakeholders, sponsors.

• Provides end-users guidance and training as needed

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• A minimum of 6 years’ experience as a business analyst

• Ability to define and drive standardization of SDLC assets

• Commercial Pharma experience is highly desirable

• Knowledge Management Experience is preferred

• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.

• A history of leading and supporting successful projects.

• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.

• The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable future state solutions.

• Ability to understand the workflow and business processes related to the application being supported.

• Ability to effectively interface with technical and nontechnical staff at all organizational levels.

• Ability to provide outstanding customer service, be a good listener and work well with others.

• Ability to learn new content areas and new skills quickly.

• Excellent meeting planning and facilitation skills.

• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

• General knowledge of hardware and software technologies.

• Excellent documentation skills.

• Excellent written, verbal communication and negotiating skills, with customers, team and stakeholders

• Outstanding attention to detail

• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio.

• Self-motivated with the ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• Must be able to work independently to accomplish these objectives

• Experience gathering business requirements, gap analysis, process flows, road mapping, solution design

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university

• ECBA Certification or similar Business Analyst Certification – nice to have

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/NON-ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED

• Intermediate to Expert knowledge of QA and validation process and framework

• Intermediate knowledge of databases and data transformation

• Understanding of SDLC business process

• Drug Safety knowledge

• Exceptional ability to work collaboratively with an extended set of internal and external cross functional and vendor stakeholders
