Position Description:

CGI is seeking a Training Specialist in our Puerto Rico office to join our dynamic team. You will be instrumental in helping the CGI team deliver exceptional quality service to our clients. Your future duties and responsibilities:

•Develop a thorough understanding and knowledge of all aspects of CGI products.

•Read, analyze, and interpret technical material and software documentation, including product requirement documents, items in issue tracking system, release notes, and other product guides.

•Provide training, both in person and remotely as needed, for clients and internal staff. Training responsibilities include customization of training agenda to meet trainee needs; preparation of data and materials for training; and execution of training in a timely and efficient manner.

•Assist with creation and execution of in person learning sessions for clients and staff highlighting new and underused functionality.

•Create and maintain documentation, both written and video, pertaining to the use of CGI products.

•Review CGI products enhancements and assist with training, communication, and implementation in support of new releases.

•Perform system tests, analysis, and configuration to ensure system is in excellent running order.

•Advise clients and internal staff on how to best use the system to meet a client’s business needs.

•Proactively manage report and troubleshoot issues that occur in system during course material development and pre-training testing.

•Developing training activities, courses, and other adult learning events.

•Monitoring assigned training activities and assists in the completion of needs assessment, development and delivery of courses, evaluation activities, and preparation of course and classroom materials.

•Developing and adapting new/revised training and testing materials for formal course use.

•Coordinates training support needed including equipment, space, and staffing requirements for training programs.

•Conduct research and ensure the use of proper technical terminology

•Translate technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel

•Support the development of all types of documents and reports by developing and updating graphics presentations to improve the quality and enhance the usability of these documents

•Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience

•Write easy-to-understand user guides

•Other duties as assigned

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

•Proven working experience in technical writing of IT documentation

•Ability to gather, analyze, and compose technical information

•Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail

•Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures

•Support new technology implementation and process changes with appropriate documentation

•Ability to create user-centric process or technology guides

•Experience generating and maintaining live documentation, updating as necessary to ensure accuracy and correctness over time

•Ability to work as a cohesive member of a dynamic team to establish a consistent voice in documents and ensure all artifacts reflect current operating environment.

•Bachelor’s degree required, major in administration, education or science related field preferred

•1-2 years’ experience Documentation and Training in any industry

•Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, Power Point, Visio) and Adobe Professional software.

•Fully Bilingual in English and Spanish

•Working knowledge of Agile
