Your future duties and responsibilities:
The .NET Technical Architect/Senior Developer position includes the following :
•Provide technical leadership, technical design, unit test, technical testing (e.g. security and performance test) and development of the technical components of a new or existing system based on the Microsoft technology stack
•Provide client and the project team with technical insights, support, guidance, and functional design input
•Provide strategic input for the project regarding its architecture, infrastructure, and applications
•Possess strong communication skills and have the ability to articulate recommended solutions and address issues/concerns of existing and future state architecture, infrastructure and applications
•Collaborate closely and in partnership with client's technical leadership and development community
•Manage the activities of CGI development staff
•Prepare and execute technical-based testing as required (e.g. performance and security testing)
•Leverage advanced skills in Microsoft-based technologies, including .NET development leveraging Web Forms and the model-view-controller (MVC) framework
•Create technical system design documents leveraging client templates where possible. Technical designs should follow project standards and articulate the solution to develop on an appropriate level. Provide client walkthrough of design documents, when requested. Work with the team to address review comments.
•Write .NET and C# code for components to a new system
•Modify .NET and C# code for bug fixes and/or enhancements to an existing system
•Work with and/or modify the SQL Server-based data model as required
•Create unit test cases to appropriately verify created or modified code, execute those scripts, and resolve identified issues
•Create and/or manage deployment pipelines for software releases
•Follow established coding standards and configuration management procedures
•Manage, debug and troubleshoot issues in the code base for a new or existing system
•Support the functionality testing process. Assigned system incidents and defects identified during the testing process should be fixed, unit tested, and checked into the source control system.
•Provide support to technical staff, internal users, and external users in the support and use of new or existing systems
•Create technical training documentation regarding the current function of new or existing systems
•Provide technical knowledge transfer of a new or existing system to client technical staff
•Provide general production support for a new and/or existing system
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
•Development and unit testing
•Technical systems training
•Experience with full systems development lifecycle
•Experience with desktop and web technologies
•Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written form
•Usability design (preferred)
•ASP.NET Web Forms, MVC, WebAPI
•Experience with systems development lifecycle tools for source control management
•Bilingual in English and Spanish
Computer Science or other technical degree (preferred)
