CGI Federal is seeking an experienced DBA and Logistics/Maintenance Analyst to work at Rock Island Arsenal, IL.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Manage logistics/maintenance data and reports.
Perform queries and trend analysis and produce reports as required.
Install software and perform basic systems administration.
Prepare daily reports and monthly readiness reports.
Define and develop government information requests.
Provide solutions to problems related to hand-receipts, equipment data and STAMIS exports.
Be prepared to participate in and support contingency operations in potentially austere conditions.
Provide proposal support to include pictures, metrics, writing and SME support.
Develop, provide input to and maintain SOPs.
Develop, provide input to and maintain Continuity books.
Develop, provide input to, update, and maintain contract past performance/capture performance metrics.
Database duties include but are not limited to: performance tuning, database backup and recovery, maintenance of database replication, planning and support for database and software releases and updates, analysis of the impact of updates, data upkeep and validation, writing and execution of scripts to facilitate input and output of data, writing and execution of queries on the database, server maintenance and product support in a fast-paced environment.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Position requires five (5) years experience, plus the ability to successfully demonstrate the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
Active DOD Secret Clearance
Security + certified
IAT Level 2 compliant
Ability to work independently in an autonomous environment
Ability to plan and prioritize work
Ability to train users in AWRDS
Ability to develop and deliver briefings as required
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in harmony with others
Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
Strong understanding of US Army Supply and Maintenance policies and procedures
Basic knowledge of SQL skills
Knowledge of PC hardware
Knowledge or experience with the following:
o Managing databases
o Sybase Adaptive Server Anywhere
o Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access)
o Network operating systems
o Internet Information Services
Knowledge of US Army STAMIS and Army Logistics/Maintenance systems such as PBUSE, MICAS, SAAS, LMP, SARSS, MMIS, ULLS, and SAMS
Knowledge of wholesale and retail supply system to include equipment stratification, current Army equipment, Brigade level readiness reporting, DA 2406 Material Condition Status Report, Maintenance Management Data File (MMDF)
Hands-on army maintenance (MOS 63 series) or supply (MOS 92 series) systems including experience with ULLS-G/A and SAMS I/II are preferred. Experience with Lean and Six Sigma is preferred.
BS degree is preferred.
Certain operations may require the individual to lift and move computer and other equipment of approximately 50 lbs in weight, as well as being able to push a wheeled dolly with multiple computer systems loaded.
The individual must be able to perform duties in extreme weather (dusty, arid, high and low temperature).
Travel may also be required to support contingency military operations in remote/austere physical environments.
Position may require bending, kneeling, or crawling to get to cables under and behind furniture.
Additionally, the position will call for the employee to climb onto military equipment and or vehicles to engage in data validation.
The individual is required to be in good health and be able to pass medical examinations as dictated by the U.S. Army.
Work environment is typically indoors in an office environment. However, some outdoor work may be required in austere conditions (dusty, extreme heat or cold).
Certain operations may require 24 hour support.
Accordingly, individuals may be assigned to work during non-routine shifts, and long hours and other duties as required.
