Position Description:

We are seeking a Senior QA Test Engineer / Team Leader for an exciting opportunity with a banking client in the Richmond, VA area. This role involves leading a team of 14 offshore QA testers, executing tests, and collaborating closely with developers and client stakeholders based in Richmond. The position is based on-site, requiring 3-4 days per week at the client’s location, but offers flexibility in choosing which days to be in the office.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Will be joining as a Sr. QA Test Engineer, working on a team implementing a CGI IP solution (Collections 360). The person selected for this role will be working with a team of up to 14 offshore testers, executing test cases and managing / coordinating the work of those offshore teammates, leading them in conjunction with the Onshore Test Leader. In addition to the CGI IP, there is a fair amount of API/Interface testing as well as work within ancillary applications built in Pega. This is a role that has an on-client site work requirement (3-4 days per week).

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Must be able to work on client site in the downtown Richmond, VA area.

• Experience in all aspects of Testing procedures including execution, test case writing, data setup (speaks to data analysis below), ability to assess automation candidates and translating requirements to actionable test cases/scenarios.

• Experience with both manual and automated testing including database and UI based testing.

• Strong SQL skills including joins (both inner and outer). Level > medium.

• Strong in Data analysis and analytics.

• Previous experience working in an Agile environment.

• Functional working knowledge of the Banking / Financial Services Industry.

• Experience testing in a Distributed Application Environment (e.g. Interfaces and APIs built in Java / SpringBoot).

• Experience testing in a Legacy Application Environment (e.g. Mainframe / JCL) and familiarity with batch processing.

• Nice to Have: Familiarity with Collections / Default within a Consumer Bank; Knowledge or experience with CACS/Strata or other platforms is a plus

Critical Soft skills:

• Previous experience leading teams (e.g. Testing Team Lead, etc.)

• Strong Communication skills

• Proactive willingness to engage PO/SMs with capacity concerns, issues and serve as an advocate for the team.

• Ability to problem solve and lead triage activities (could be considered as Technical/Functional skillset)

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $76,300 - $168,900.
