Position Description:
As a Technical Product Manager specializing in API and integration strategy, you’ll play a critical role in shaping and executing the API vision for CGI's Trade360 SaaS application. This role requires the ability to clearly define product strategy in the API space and align internal and external stakeholders to ensure execution.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• API Strategy and Roadmap Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive API product strategy and roadmap Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business goals with API initiatives Create a 360-degree view of bank, customer, and third-party partner channel integration Monitor applicable technical and industry standards to reduce integration costs and accelerate integration with the platform.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for all API and integration-related matters Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, implementation, sales, and product. Engage with clients to outline API and integration strategy during advisory sessions, working groups, and client relationship calls Engage with prospective third-party partners to capture requirements that can be factored into a third-party partner channel integration strategy.
• Working Groups, Insights, and Client Feedback: Conduct market research to understand Banking, Trade Finance, and API industry trends, user needs, and the competitive landscape Gather client feedback and strategies to inform product decisions and enhancements.
• API Design and Development: Collaborate with engineering teams to design, develop, and launch secure, scalable APIs Ensure adherence to best practices, performance metrics Support establishment and ongoing best practices for documentation of APIs.
• Go-to-Market Strategies: Develop and execute go-to-market plans for API products.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• 8 – 10 years of experience with API strategy and development
• 10+ years of experience in financial services IT
• Technical Background: Strong understanding of APIs, modern integration patterns, and software development. Experience with integrating third-party cloud systems preferred.
• Business Acumen: Ability to align technical decisions, product value propositions, and external stakeholder needs
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication to convey complex technical concepts to a diverse set of audiences
• Analytical Thinking: Proficiency in analyzing data, metrics, and user feedback
• Collaboration: Experience working with cross-functional teams, including developers, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders.
• Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $86,900 - $202,700/year.
