Position Description:

The Solutions Director (SD) ensures that the right people are involved with a proposal, that they understand what the problem is that they are trying to solve, and provides solutions to those problems to deliver a clear, concise, first-class solution. The SD can manage and shepherd a proposal from the initial customer requirements to the submission of the proposal.

The SD establishes operational objectives and work plans, and delegates assignments to subordinates. CGI senior management reviews the objectives to determine success of operation. In addition, the SD will be involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect immediate operations and that may also have company-wide effect.

This position can be located remotely anywhere in the U.S.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

CGI Federal is looking for Solutions Director (SD) that is a big picture strategist and in-depth problem solver, leveraging their expertise and CGI Federal’s partner network to provide technology recommendations and data strategies to architect solutions solving variety of business objective and IT solution needs. This SD must understand cloud services and technology ecosystems, architectures & trends. This SD will provide technical consulting to CGI Federal Business units and CGI Federal customers as a true trusted advisor. At this senior level, the Front End of the SD will have a strong understanding of cloud offerings (end-to-end), Analytics, low code no code, and as well as understanding how to position CGI Federal solutions and offerings. This role has responsibility for identifying cyber technology trends and industry needs and be able to create the strategy of successfully delivering and deploying the technology to a wide Federal client base.

Responsibilities will include:

• Customers (internal & external) briefings, white boarding and collection of Requirements

• Create and present high-level solution designs/architecture to customers

• Create Customer facing Presentations to vet CGI solutions and to create awareness of CGI core strengths and intellectual Property (IP).

• Establish relationships and partnerships to assist in identifying opportunities, closing opportunities and enabling growth and delivery.

• Assume the role technology advisor that understands customer business processes and maps them to technology solutions to optimize business outcomes

• Incorporate the Cyber strategy, solutions for CGI Federal IP and Non-IP solutions development

• Create optimal repeatable solution architectures and proposals that uniquely solves customer problems enabling Value Based Sales and Value Based Pricing

• Identify risks & mitigations at all stages of the solution development lifecycle

• Build initial business case model and architecture in support of CG

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

You are a technical, entrepreneurial & creative thinker, providing for your clients as an advisor with successful experience in cloud, software, technology solutioning. Have consulted either in core platform/cloud or professional services, analytics, AI/ML, cyber security, or customer organizations. Ideally you should be of a ‘solutions development' and business outcome mindset, you take time to truly understand the voice of the customer and market imperatives (pain points) with a keen eye to connect problem identification to technology capabilities and solutions. This is a thought-leadership and growth-oriented function, supporting account execution teams within the federal market. The individual must demonstrate skills in translating solution opportunities into tangible technology deliverables & support the solution development and delivery activities.

Industry Experience:

• Prior technical product development and/or architecture experience, preferably gained in a cloud engineering and platform environment

• Possess extensive knowledge of Data Strategies, Information Assurance Guidance, and Federation Strategy

• Supported cloud and managed service provider partners in creating a cohesive solutions across multiple organizations or Agencies Experience within Legacy Transformational Technology

• Extensive Experience with AWS, Azure, and MSFT designs and modernizations of legacy applications

Desired

• 15+ years of successful experience in solutioning & consulting either in solutions, enterprise IT, and platform/cloud or professional services. Federal or Fortune 500 Experience Preferred

• Experience in building business case and technical use cases to drive technical outcomes validated with ROI modeling

• Understanding of contemporary and vastly used technology concepts such as low/no code, data analytics, cyber, RPA, cloud, high availability infrastructure, and AI/ML.

• Experience working in and with Agile development teams and Product Development Life Cycle

• Working knowledge in disruptive technology concepts: AI, machine learning, Big Data & Analytics, IoT (Edge) and Strong Cyber orientation – readily identifies and qualifies requirements, cyber solutions, new technology and opportunities

• Proven track record in delivering enterprise large-scale solutions to market

Clearances – Secret or above preferred. PCII Authorized User

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $137,500.00 - $297,700.00.
