Position Description:
The Senior Technical Architect has a wide range of responsibilities, including overall responsibility for the modernized solution architecture and design. The Architect works closely with the client Product Owner to ensure the enterprise business objectives and the needs of the modernization program stakeholders are met. From the system objectives and requirements, the Architect develops and communicates the vision and implementation roadmap for the modernized system. This includes creating and presenting solution designs, options, ideas, and innovations to the client senior leadership team.
The Architect develops and maintains technical roadmaps and innovation plans, works together with the CGI Program Manager to identify risks and mitigations, issues and dependencies on Government Furnished Information, and to establish project estimates and plans. The Architect clearly articulates the mission, deadlines, and expectations to the cross-functional teams involved in different aspects of the modernization, manages day-to-day technical activities, and regularly reports on status of the technical development and integration effort to the CGI Program Manager.
This position can be located remotely anywhere in the U.S.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
•Leads the overall modernized solution architecture and design.
•Works closely with the client Product Owner to ensure the enterprise business objectives and the needs of the modernization program stakeholders are met.
•Develops and communicates the vision and implementation roadmap for the modernized system from the system objectives and requirements.
•Creating and presenting solution designs, options, ideas, and innovations to the client senior leadership team.
•Develops and maintains technical roadmaps and innovation plans.
•Works together with the CGI Program Manager to identify risks and mitigations, issues and dependencies on Government Furnished Information, and to establish project estimates and plans.
•Aligns with the Program Manager to clearly articulate the mission, deadlines, and expectations to the cross-functional teams involved in different aspects of the modernization.
•Manage day-to-day technical activities, and regularly reports on status of the technical development and integration effort to the CGI Program Manager
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
•Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of experience in information technology, computer science, information systems or related field and experience in enterprise architecture, engineering, and standards
•Demonstrated effective communication skills at senior levels within corporate and customer organizations
•Experience meeting with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items, and effectively execute in accordance with approved plans
•Collaboration with technical staff and customers in forming strategies to improve performance, reliability, and cost effectiveness
•Experience designing a cloud environment
•Cloud Certification
•Experience in designing systems around requirements
•Ability to determine a virtual product "lay down"
•Experience in the practice of Agile methodology
•Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
•Excellent oral and written communication skills
•Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with team members, customers and support personnel
•U.S. Citizenship is required
• Sec+ or CASP+ certification
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
•Experience with Cloud implementations
•Experience with legacy system modernization
•Experience supporting a Department of Defense (DOD) client
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $85,800.00 - $190,100.00.
