We are looking for an exceptional Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. This role will be responsible for the QA strategy development and execution.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Design and implement automated test frameworks to fill test gaps within a continuous delivery pipeline

• Write and implement high-quality manual and automated tests to verify release readiness

• Develop and execute non-functional automated tests such as performance and load tests

• Design, develop and execute manual and automated acceptance, smoke and regression tests

• Design, develop and execute automated API, integration and contract tests

• Develop and manage software test plans

• Develop and execute database scripts to perform acceptance testing

• Design, document and execute test scenarios to identify functional and non-functional software bugs

• Investigate automated and manual test failures to ensure application correctness

• Partner with product teams to design and develop BDD tests, and acceptance criteria

• Collaborate with application developers in design sessions to understand development approach and build a test strategy

• Participate with DevOps team in configuration of automated build, and release pipelines to set up quality gates and automated test runs

• Be a quality advocate by analyzing software requirements and identifying any risks, and working with other project stakeholders towards a mitigation plan

• Help product and business teams to execute user acceptance testing

• Carry out root cause analysis of production incident and failures by examining application events and logs in application log management and monitoring tools

• Report progress, test metrics and results to the project stakeholders

• Work with product management and application development teams to deliver high quality applications

• Application log management, monitoring and operational intelligence tools such as Splunk or Dynatrace

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Must have the following experience:

• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

• Agile or iterative SDLCs

• Gherkins language and BDD frameworks such as Cucumber/ or SpecFlow

• Version control systems such as Git or an equivalent

• Designing and building software test frameworks

• Manual and Test automation experience with Web and Mobile applications – both hybrid and native

• Software debugging experience

• Developing and managing software test plans

• API and Integration testing

• Java, JS, or equivalent software programming language experience

• Writing database scripts for Oracle or an equivalent database
