Position Description:

We are looking for an Alation expert in data governance to advise and support our clients designing and implementing their data governance strategy, while ensuring that its principles are reflected in their policies and processes. Your main tasks will be to support of client defining their data standards in collaboration with the different functions of the organization, while ensuring the awareness and adoption of their policies and guidelines, which also requires strong project and change management skills. In addition to consulting, you will also be involved in building-up a center of expertise about data governance in our AI and Data Analytics team. You will also have the opportunity to develop yourself and deepen your knowledge with our various upskilling programs, and work with very international and highly motivated teams, in an environment that promotes diversity, innovation and intrapreneurship. You should be able to review current systems, requirements documentation and be able to propose ideas for System improvements. You should be able to closely work with designers, analysts and should be able to develop detailed level of specifications. In addition, all assigned tasks have to be delivered as per stipulated timelines, adhering to quality procedures and any work experience with blended model.

You should have excellent communication skills, Team Player with very good analytical and organizational skills. You should be flexible enough to learn new technologies/products and come up to speed on different technologies in very short period of time.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Experience with Alation installation, integration or administration

• Experience in Springboot framework for Microservices JSON RestAPI

• API flows

• Define processes, roles and responsibilities related to data ownership and data governance and ensure clear accountability for stewardship of the company's principal data assets

• Define data standards and ensure that they are understood and managed effectively across the organizations

• Define indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities

• Address cross-functional data issues and set policies and guidelines

• Support building a data culture by raising awareness of data governance and data management best practices

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Primary Skills:

• Minimum of 3 years work experience in building data governance structures, setting up data management best practices, data standardization and cleaning processes

• Strong SQL development skills using SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures etc.

• Knowledge of creating and delivering modern data platforms that will pro`vide advanced analytical capabilities

• Knowledge of Integration, Testing, and Development processes

• Demonstrated ability to acquire and apply new skills and technologies to various problem domains.

• Experience of engaging, monitoring, and improving the performance of internal and external stakeholders in roles such as Data Owner, Data Steward and Application Owners

• Strong project management and change management skills

• Experience in data catalogs and data warehouse/ data lake environments

• Experience in working with cross-functional teams

• Experience in stakeholder management, with strong communication skills

• Knowledge of one or more Data Governance, Data Quality or Data Catalogue tools (e.g. Purview , SAP MDG , Informatica, Erwin, Collibra, EDQ, Alation, etc)
