Position Description:

The Agile Transformation Consultant is responsible for leading in the design and implementation of large-scale Agile transformation executive and team level coaching, and training initiatives. This vital role has great customer visibility and has responsibility for helping the customer embrace Agile concepts. The Agile Coach collaborates with a variety of internal and external staff, leading Agile executive and software development teams while providing insight into the adoption progress to the client's management and to the Summa Senior Management Team.

Position Duties:

• Conduct organizational assessments and provide recommendations for implementation Agile and Lean methods

• Provide introductory and advanced Agile/Lean/Scrum training to customer teams and guidance on Agile best practices to the overall project team Collaborate with the customer to define transformation objectives and roadmap

• Communicate with clients effectively to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions

• Provide executive level coaching in Agile techniques and culture

• Facilitate effective internal/external team collaboration and generate enthusiasm among team members and other Agile Coaches

• Must be willing to perform up to 50% combination of in and out of state travel

Required Skills:

• Excellent leadership skills involving large scale Agile transformations

• Demonstrated coaching or consulting skills, especially at the senior or executive management level

• Teaching and facilitation skills to lead Agile topics in a classroom and workshop settings

• In depth understanding on the full life-cycle of software development projects, including managing the planning, executing, tracking and managing costs, schedule and scope

• Excellent public speaking and workshop facilitation skills

Technical knowledge in of the following:

• Agile/Lean

• Scrum/Kanban

• Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

• Application development/Test Driven Development/Continuous Integration

Required Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in the Software Development Life Cycle, project management and/or related field

• Demonstrated experience coaching large scale Agile/Lean transformations

• Previous coaching or consulting at the Senior or Executive Management level

• Prior experience managing the full life-cycle of software development projects, including managing the planning, executing, tracking and managing costs, schedule and scope

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Sciences, Business or relevant discipline, Master’s Degree preferred.

• Certified Scrum Master or Product Owner

• Scaled Agile Program Consultant certification preferred

• PMI-ACP and/or Certified Scrum Professional certification preferred

• Prior experience managing the full life-cycle of software development projects, including managing the planning, executing, tracking and managing costs, schedule and scope
