Position Description:

As an Installation Engineer, you will enter a high-energy and tech savvy world. We are looking for an individual who has exceptional interpersonal skills, is customer service focused, and has a proven track record of delivering “best in class” Data Center hardware solutions. As a successful engineer, you will be able to adapt quickly to changing technical and professional environments.

You will be working with our client base of Fortune 500 companies who have the latest datacenter technologies. The environments are complex and ever changing, with continuous upgrades of thousands of servers, routers, switches and storage arrays.

• This position requires 80-100% travel throughout North America.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Hardware rack and stack in data center cabinets

• Unpack & Perform inventory, review Bill of Material, match BOM to deployment requirements

• Hardware placement into cabinet: perform cabling, CPU, Storage, Switch

• Software Configuration of all hardware

• Thoughtful and careful planning with client prior to system deployment.

• Drive quality improvement throughout the installation and deployment process.

• Testing and remediation of solution

• Integration with client infrastructure and systems

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Self-motivated individual with the ability to work in fast paced and stressful environments.

• Ability to work 40+ hours a week including Saturdays and Sundays if scheduled.

• Must be able to lift 70-lbs on their own.

• Basic understanding of electrical and datacenter safety - candidate should know how to work safe within a datacenter.

• Demonstrated ability to self-manage and execute tasks given on a daily basis via a ticketing system.

• Ability to lead planning calls with customers intended to review project goals and objectives, documenting solution and gaining customer acceptance.

• Ability to perform infrastructure troubleshooting.

• Solid understanding of server hardware installation of (HP, Dell, Supermicro, others), network hardware (Cisco, Arista, Metamako, Raritan), server/network appliances (FSMLabs Grandmasters, Novasparks, others), storage hardware (NetApp), smart electrical hardware / PDUs.


• 3+ years' experience in working in enterprise datacenters

• Experience with configuring:


• Enterprise Network – Cisco, Brocade, Mellanox, SAN, IP

• Storage Systems

• IP Storage

• SAN Storage and Infrastructure Configuration

• Hyper Converged Storage Systems

• Fixed Content Storage

• Cloud Storage

This position requires high performance in fast paced environments with little to no down time.

This position requires excellent oral and written communications skills.

The candidate for this position must be punctual, and able to work with minimal guidance.

This position requires a valid driver’s license.

Complete the following certifications within 3 months of hiring:

NCSIE- NetApp Certified Storage Installation Engineer, ONTAP
