Position Description:

CGI is looking for a Technical Lead in the Newport News, VA area to join our team. This position will support a Department of Defense (DoD) client by providing systems support services, IT services, application maintenance, development and enhancement to the customer base. These services include the employment of information technology to support architecture development, manage architecture data, promote sharing and reuse of data; decision support; and providing interface and liaison between internal and external organizations. The support involves planning, organizing, securing, coordinating, and managing resources to initiate and successfully deliver the requirements of a large government contract across a highly diverse team. This project is a fast paced and dynamic environment that leverages such things as Agile/Scrum methodology to quickly build solutions based on customer requirements.

This position is located in Newport News, VA.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage software-intensive technology projects within complex IT environments, ensuring successful delivery of high-quality software applications

  • Apply Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes to manage and oversee the development, testing, and deployment of software applications

  • Lead large, enterprise web-based software application projects with complex data federation, coordinating and guiding software teams to achieve project goals

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of software applications using Microsoft technologies, including C#, ASP/.NET, SQL, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, AJAX, C++, HTML/DHTML, Azure PaaS, Azure DevOps, and Dynamics 365

  • Utilize software tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio .NET, Microsoft Visual C++6.0, Microsoft SQL Server 2016, JBuilder 5.0, Crystal Reports, SSRS, and Internet Information Systems to support project development and maintenance

  • Respond to and resolve system availability disruptions promptly, maintaining continuity of operations through IT

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Science, or Information Technology

  • US citizenship and a TOP SECRET security clearance are required

  • At least 10 years of demonstrated experience managing software-intensive technology projects within complex IT environments

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience applying the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and successful delivery of high-quality software applications

  • Experience leading large, enterprise web-based software applications with complex data federation, demonstrated by leading software teams

  • Experience leading development and maintenance of software applications employing Microsoft technologies including C#, Active Server Pages (ASP)/.NET, SQL, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, AJAX, C++, HTML/DHTML, Azure with Platform as a Service (PaaS), Azure DevOps, Dynamics 365

  • Experience with software tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio .NET, Microsoft Visual C++6.0, Microsoft SQL Server 2016, JBuilder

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $122,200.00 - $213,800.00.
