Position Description:

CGI has a fantastic opportunity for a Director of Consulting Services in our East Region. This role is ideal for a self-motivated and entrepreneurial individual with business development experience in the public sector to become our NYC Account Leader.

You must have a deep knowledge working with the “City of New York” procurement processes and have deep, senior level relationships within multiple city agencies. You will be working to drive and grow our business. Must have experience selling to or engaging with multiple City of New York agencies.

You should have a strong record of accomplishment of profitable growth along with account expansion and management. You will lead strong delivery SME’s and will focus on growing our relationship and portfolio within the City of New York. Must be currently living in NYC metro area.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Expand our portfolio with the government sector within “City of New York”.

Drive Revenue and Profitability.

Bring deep knowledge and delivery capability, be integrated into the market place and be responsible for bringing solutions and thought leadership to our clients, work well in collaborative environments, be highly motivated by delivering excellent services to our clients and ensuring their satisfaction.

Will use and demonstrate your experience and creativity to design, propose and implement solutions for sophisticated client problems in advanced business and technology environments.

Lead a team of professionals – both direct reports and via US based onshore delivery centers.

Handle client satisfaction in partnership with account management teams.

Contribute to business strategy, budget planning and handle profitability of engagements.

Develop a strong pipeline of opportunities within new and existing accounts within the City of New York City Public Sector.

Lead proposals and evolve solution offerings.

Overall accountability for the winning of competitive proposals.

Overall accountability of service delivery to our clients.

Ensure success of engagements using global US based onshore delivery centers and strategic partners.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

The candidate should possess experience and expertise in the following areas:

10+ years of proven experience in senior level, City Leadership or Information Technology Consulting for government clients.

Deep understanding, knowledge and relationships with the City of New York City Public Sector.

Ability to interact with agency C-Level decision makers.

A keen, flexible and bold intellect; outstanding conceptual thinking as well as analytical and problem solving skills.

Be independent, self-starting, and be able to stay calm under the pressures of multiple deadlines.

Strong communication, both verbal and written, at all levels.

Consistent track record of creating and maintaining business partnerships and relationships.

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required;

Results oriented business leader with solid understanding of budgets, forecasting, planning, P&Ls, and sophisticated pricing models.

Business development including strategic sales planning.

Client engagement management and relationship building.
