CGI Federal is currently looking for an IT Security Evaluator to join CGIs accredited Common Criteria Testing Laboratory under the NIAP-CCEVS as part of CGIs growing Global IT Security Certification practice. As part of CGIs growing Global IT Security Certification practice, you will provide leading security evaluation services to our clients in government and industry. You will be comfortable with a range of technologies and will use your strong analytical skills to be able to evaluate the security-related strengths and weaknesses of software products, networks, and associated architectural components. You will plan, conduct and oversee testing. You will also be expected to write detailed reports and maintain evaluation-related documentation.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Conduct and manage Common Criteria evaluations for CGI clients against US approved protection profiles.
Assess client information security environments and assess vulnerabilities and effectiveness of existing safeguards;
Conduct Vulnerability Assessments and Penetration testing of both production and non-production environments;
Prepare detailed written reports of a high standard, as required;
Analyze and recommend the deployment of security solutions into the clients environment, i.e., network infrastructure, servers and security devices;
Provide technical setup, support and troubleshooting for Lab test environments for a variety of technologies, e.g., Windows/Unix/Linux, VPN
Maintain current with relevant IT environment and industry IT trends, particularly those related to threats and vulnerabilities
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Graduated with a degree from a recognized university with specialization in Computer Sciences or a related discipline;
Completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in Computer Sciences from a recognized community college, or in a related discipline, combined with a minimum of two (4) years of directly related practical experience and demonstrated ability to carry out the functions of the job;
Minimum of four (4) years of directly related practical experience within the last eight years, and demonstrated ability to carry out the functions of the job.
Should have demonstrated knowledge and experience with the following:
A broad understanding of current enterprise related security solutions and issues along with the methods and products for addressing them
TCP/IP networking, VPNs, VLAN, NAT and applicable security concepts
Windows/UNIX/Linux administration, configuration and security concepts
Network Intrusion Detection (IDS) or Prevention Systems
Crypto devices, encryption technology and PKI
VPN, PKI systems
System hardening experience
Vulnerability analysis and management experience
The following certifications are assets: Canadian CC EAL4+, PCI, SCSAS, SCSA, SCNA, SCSECA, ISSEP, CISSP, GCIA, CCNA, CCSA, CCSE, RHCE, MCP/MCSA/MCSE, and ITIL
