Your future duties and responsibilities:

How you’ll make an impact

• Deliver on-site support providing world-class service and problem-solving for both external clients and internal team members.

• Track, support, and monitor IT support requests to full resolution.

• Support incoming phone calls, emails, and chat, as needed.

• Image, deploy, and manage local hardware needs (Laptops, Monitors, Docking Stations, etc.).

• Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies.

• Configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.

• Perform RMAs on hardware as needed. Coordinate and communicate with clients and asset technician.

• Take a proactive approach to triage critical technical issues for clients, according to established priorities and SLAs.

• Package/manage shipping according to client requests; provide tracking numbers.

• Receive and add new hardware to inventory under ServiceNow.

• Maintain proper Security Standards.

• Perform hardware data wipes and documentation according to security best practice.

• Printer support

• Conferencing room support

• Occasionally travel to a remote location to help facilitate IT requests.

• Manage the physical inventory, which includes mobility devices, desktop and laptop computers, peripherals, and other hardware, to maintain accurate inventory level metrics and minimum thresholds.

• Build and curate our knowledge base, sharpening your technical writing skills in the process. Maintain, update, and propose existing/new procedures.

• Work closely with infrastructure teams and colleagues to follow the client/organizations standards and best practices.

• Execute assigned activities with an emphasis on quality, timeliness, and budget.

• Analyze and resolve incidents in a timely manner to minimize downtime for all clients.

• Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

What you’ll bring

• You have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience working in an IT Desktop Support (office) environment.

• You have an undergraduate degree in Information Technology or comparable experience.

• Deep knowledge of desktop operating systems, software applications, hardware, networking, and internet technologies.

• You are recognized as a highly organized employee by your peers.

• Ability to manage a large inventory.

• Experienced with Hardware/Software Asset Lifecycle.

• Experience documenting technical information.

• Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with clients in French and English.

• Exhibiting a positive attitude towards client.

• Good technical and professional interaction skills.

• You’re proficient in Microsoft Excel and SharePoint.

• You can work in a stressful environment while performing at your best.

• You will switch between different types of tasks seamlessly.

• You also can perform occasional physical tasks, including stooping, bending, reaching, lifting, and pushing objects of varying weights up to 40 pounds.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $38,100.00 - $76,100.00.
