Position Description:

Seeking Technology Financial Manager to oversee and manage the financial aspects of Technology department, responsible for budgeting, financial planning, and cost management.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Budgeting:

• Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans and budgets for Tech department.

• Monitor and track IT expenses, identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.

• Analyze financial data, historical trends, and business forecasts to provide accurate budget estimates and recommendations.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

• Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and return on investment (ROI) calculations, to evaluate Technology projects and initiatives.

• Prepare regular financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for management, highlighting key financial metrics, risks, and opportunities.

• Collaborate with Technology leaders to analyze financial implications of technology investments and propose optimization strategies.

Software Licensing Management:

• Maintain an in-depth understanding of software licensing regulations, agreements, and compliance requirements.

• Monitor software license usage, track renewals, and ensure compliance with licensing terms and conditions.

• Collaborate with technology teams to optimize software licensing agreements and manage vendor relationships.

Cost Management:

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize technology spending and maximize cost efficiency, without compromising quality or service delivery.

• Work with vendor contracts, negotiate pricing, and manage vendor relationships to ensure favorable terms and cost-effective solutions.

• Identify areas for cost reduction, process improvement, and operational efficiency within the technology department.

Financial Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and procedures, both internally and externally.

• Collaborate with internal audit teams to perform financial audits and maintain accurate financial records.

• Identify and mitigate financial risks related to Technology projects, contracts, and operational activities.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Work closely with Technology leaders, department heads, and finance teams to align financial strategies with business objectives.

• Provide financial guidance and recommendations to project teams and executives during the planning and decision-making processes.

• Foster effective communication and collaboration between finance and Technology departments to drive financial transparency and accountability.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Understanding of Technology systems, infrastructure, and software licensing concepts.

• Experience in managing software license agreements, compliance, and vendor relationships.

• Experience in managing software license agreements, compliance, and vendor relationships.

• Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and financial analysis, preferably in a technology-focused environment.

• Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.

• Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting techniques.

• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate complex financial data into meaningful insights.

• Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools, such as ERP systems, spreadsheets, and financial planning software.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $84,000 - $186,000."
