Position Description:

We are seeking a talented Front-End UI/UX Developer to join our dynamic Emerging Technologies Practice. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing user interfaces and experiences for web and mobile applications. Collaborating closely with designers, back-end developers, and other stakeholders, you will create visually appealing and intuitive interfaces that enhance user engagement. As a Front-End UI/UX Developer, you will play a crucial role in implementing front-end solutions using modern technologies like React and Angular, with a focus on mobile-first concepts.

This position's preferred location is Lafayette, LA, Lebanon, VA, Belton, TX, Knoxville, TN or Fairfax, VA; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Due to the nature of this government contract, US Citizenship is required.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Collaborate with back-end developers to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for web and mobile applications.

• Implement front-end development on a cross-functional Agile team

• Ensure seamless functionality and optimal user experience across different platforms, with a mobile-first approach.

• Work on responsive design and implement best practices for delivering a consistent user experience across devices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability.

• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in front-end development and UI/UX design.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to front-end development.

• Ensure that the UI is accessible (508) compliant.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Proven experience as a Front-End Developer or similar role.

• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Experience with front-end frameworks like React or Angular.

• Experience with SASS.

• Experience with front-end build processes.

• Knowledge of TypeScript.

• Knowledge of frameworks like Bootstrap and Material.

• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices.

• Familiarity with mobile-first concepts and responsive design.

• Experience with version control systems like Git.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of an agile team.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Knowledge of web accessibility standards and techniques.

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating front-end with back-end systems.

• Knowledge of UI testing frameworks and tools.

• Proficiency with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery practices.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

• An understanding of Agile software development, like Scrum or Kanban

Education Requirement:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.

• 8+ years as an experienced UI/UX front-end developer

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $86,900.00 - $213,800.00.
