Position Description:

Join this exciting new project as an Azure Administrator! With your required expertise in developing and deploying application on MS Azure, you will work with a high-performing team to implement a Cloud Modernization Project. You will support and interact with the client daily in an Agile way of working. You will have the opportunity to show/grow with technology in a customer-facing role. You should be self-motivated to drive solutions and proactively create (in sufficient detail) the documentation required to support and describe technical solutions. You should be able to work independently under limited supervision and apply your knowledge of Azure. You will work with cloud architects and should have sufficient knowledge and maturity to effectively deal with technical issues and help to support the broader team. Your success will be directly related to CGI’s and our client’s success.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Responsibilities will include hands on Azure administration as well as advisor

• Looking for an Azure administrator to implement, monitor, and maintain Microsoft Azure solutions, including major services related to compute, storage, network, and security

• Administrating Azure Resources

• Manage Azure subscription

• Azure Security (RBAC)

• Create custom scripts to automate support processes where applicable Ability to Power off/ Down the un-used VMs Ability to identify issues at Azure level and resolve.

• Azure Cost Management

• Proactive monitoring & optimization


• Creating SOPs

• Training DBA team

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Preferred

  • Deep technical Azure platform expertise.

  • Technical Understanding of

-Azure Site Recovery

-Express Route

-Azure VPN gateways

-Azure Backup

-Azure Network security.


-Role based access control (RBAC)

-Disaster Recovery

-Azure Cost Management

-Experience with all types of IT projects including migrating on-prem infrastructure to Azure Environments (including IaaS and PaaS) and the associated storage, network and security considerations.

-Experience in DBA Role.

-Proficiency with scripting protocols such as PowerShell , Azure CLI's, ARM templates.

-Preferred basic understanding of Big Data Technologies like

  • Azure Databricks

  • ADLS Gen2

  • Azure Data factory

  • Azure Synapse

-Preferred understanding of Other Technologies like :

  • Azure Key Vault

  • Replication Technologies (Qlik Replicate)

  • BI Tools like

  • PowerBI

  • MicroStrategy

  • Tableau
