We are looking for a dynamic individual to lead our new CGI U.S. Onshore Center Academy. The U.S. Onshore Academy works across our entire U.S. business to imagine, define, design, and implement learning pathways for new talent joining CGI across 7 different states (and more as we continue to grow).

In this rewarding role, you will direct program implementation and growth, monitor and assess member progression through multiple technical training tracks, and coordinate project placement across CGI U.S. business units for newly graduated members. You will be directly responsible for the professional growth and development of both new CGI early-career professionals and professionals transitioning into a new career as they enter and exit the academy, and become members of consulting teams across all of our Commercial and State governments businesses.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to directly work with CGI’s clients to refine existing or design new academy programs to meet the growing need for skilled technologists across a number of different technology areas (e.g. full stack development, data engineering, cyber, and DevSecOps).

This role must be located at one of the following locations: Lafayette, LA, or Knoxville, TN.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Lead daily operations of our CGI U.S. Onshore Center Academy

• Liaison with business units and key accounts across the U.S. on matters related to the U.S. Onshore Center Academy

• Be the lead advocate across business units by developing and executing on Academy’s outreach strategy

• Develop and implement strategies to drive program growth by building demand within CGI, including integrating program strategy into CGI’s client development plans and other opportunity pursuit activities; to include both client and CGI product teams

• Drive and accelerate demand and project placement for graduating members

• Assess the professional development needs across business units for potential implementation of new training tracks

• Support talent acquisition on the identification and onboarding of new academy members

• Develop processes and procedures for the delivery of instruction services

• Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) in the business on the development of new curriculum and training sessions, including coordination of content, assimilation, and review of disparate inputs and evaluation of content (or feedback from SMEs)

• Coordinate with key departments and U.S. Onshore Center leads to support the daily operation of the U.S. Onshore Center Academy

• Provide operational support to academy trainers

• Conduct program assessments, report results to senior leadership, and implement expansion and/or improvement plans

• Monitor academy member progress and coordinate with the workforce management team on graduating member project placement

• Track and report academy budget and other reports as required

• Other duties as assigned

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Skilled IT professional or consultant with demonstrated leadership skills, experience in the development or management of Information Technology projects or programs

• Understanding of key industry technologies and common IT skillsets

• Ability to conduct meaningful program evaluations, interpret data, and communicate results

• Strong organizational skills, proven ability to manage multiple tasks

• Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to coach Academy participants

• Demonstrated project management and evaluation experience capable of balancing multiple priorities.

• Ability to work independently and work collaboratively as part of a team; strong team player

• Intermediate to advance skills in Microsoft Office and MS Teams

• Ability to cultivate and manage relationships; Be a coach to the Training Academy participants

• Experience in budget tracking

MS Office - 5+ - High

Program / Project Management - 5+ - High


• PMP and/or ACP certification

• Experience with recruitment, training, management, and retention preferred

• Experience developing training materials for software developers or technology consultants is a plus

• Experience in delivery of training materials and/or coaching of early career professionals

Minimum Education Required: Degree in MIS, CIS or Computer Science Bachelors Degree
