Position Description:

The ideal candidate has a strong interest in DevOps, CI/CD, installing and supporting applications and tools within the SDLC lifecycle, and is able to troubleshoot issues thoroughly. We are looking for senior engineers who “have been there and done that.” They are continuous learners and should also be comfortable sharing knowledge with other members

This position is located in our Lafayette, LA, or Knoxville, TN, or Labanon, VA office office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Build, install, deploy, configure, troubleshoot multiple custom-built applications

Manage configuration and secure multiple environments for several applications

Participate in Kanban and/or Scrum meetings to plan, prioritize, and estimate work

Work with Developers and Testers to troubleshoot specific issues, including recreating tests, validating configuration, etc.

Enable higher-quality software services through DevOps culture and tooling

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

4-year degree in Computer Science or a similar field

4-5+ years of industry experience

GitHub experience or similar source control tools

Extensive experience using Linux and Windows operating systems

Cloud and On-Prem experience – Azure, AWS, and/or VMWare

Experience with Agile Software Development processes

Daily use of tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Artifactory, Nexus, git, Microsoft Office, Azure DevOps

Experience setting up, configuring and troubleshooting multiple CI/CD pipelines on Jenkins

Experience running, supporting, and troubleshooting containerized applications on Kubernetes or OpenShift

Experience with working with vendor application support troubleshooting complex issues, i.e. RedHat with OpenShift

Experience writing automation using Ansible and Python doing various things, i.e. installing software, configuring scheduled tasks

Experience with Cloud and DevOps functionality like ARM templates or CloudFormation templates.

Experience with Troubleshooting Methodology

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

Microsoft Dynamics

GitOps/Github Actions

Familiarity with Oracle Database and Oracle Fusion Middleware

Software License Management

Experience Packaging and Publishing software for client consumption

Experience with Microservice Architecture and building containers

Experience with Spring Boot applications.

Industrial Knowledge of Open Container Initiative (OCI), Assets Management Software, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)/SSL Certificates and FedRAMP compliance and Server hardening standards

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $62,700.00 - $154,300.00.
