Position Description:

CGI Federal is currently seeking DEVOPS Engineers to support a contract with the Defense Logistics Agency. DLA's Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) is the premier source of DoD procure-to-pay capabilities. The PIEE solution seeks to improve transparency into the procurement process and allow for the timely payment for goods and services.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

The DEVOPS Engineer is responsible for the management and development of continuous integration and deployment solutions for production applications across various sites/software. The DEVOPS Engineer is also responsible for creating software deployment strategies and supporting the team in the implementation of lifecycle infrastructure solutions and documentation.

• Design, develop, and operationalize Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and Continuous Delivery solutions

• Support and enhance build and release processes through automation using a combination of processes and existing tools

• Design and implement DevOps solutions that leverage AWS / AZURE and internal products/service capabilities to meet requirements

• Support transformation of established infrastructure using automation; Support building new systems environments, and upgrading/patching existing ones, through use of automation tooling

• Provide hands-on support for the ongoing development of Infrastructure-As-Code (IAC) and support operation and maintenance team

• Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures

• Design and develop reusable components, code and document custom automation frameworks, maintain scripts, and update these items as needed to build continuous delivery pipelines, ensuring rapid availability of the product

• Research and recommend innovative, and where applicable automate approaches for system administrations tasks.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Due to the nature of this government contract, US Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance.

• Academic background in computer science, computer engineering or a similar major with extensive computer-based or technical content

Position requires 2-5 years of experience in:

• Experience as a DevSecOps and Cloud Engineering with AWS/Azure

• Experience developing web applications and services using Java, Apache Tomcat, or workflow tools

• Employ the values and principles of Agile development in a team environment.

• Support quality development practices and pursue new and better ways to build and deploy software.

• Ability to plan and engage with application team adopting DevSecOps, Cloud and automation transformation and Optimize continuous deployment and continuous delivery practices

• Building cutting edge solutions to solve problems with the right technologies.

• Create and Implement automating different type of testing, CICD pipelines, Software deployments

• Scripting languages, configuration management, Pipeline code, pipeline patterns, and CI tools

• Design and build solutions to technical challenges, leading the craftsmanship, resilience, and scalability of the solution while continuously improving DevOps engineering practices.

• Strong analytical, interpersonal and verbal communication skills are necessary due to the dynamic nature of collaborations with customers, internal team solving complex system problems together
