DevOps Software Engineering is responsible for the delivery and support of software, which may include new development, configuration and installation of third party packages, and software integration efforts.
This role must be located in Houston, Texas.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Tasks from every part of the software development lifecycle, including software and website design, development, programming, and software deployment (both the installation and decommissioning of software).
Support of the solution being and which has been developed by the team.
Working with other Devops team members and stakeholders in other geographical locations
Working to and delivering solutions against fixed timelines.
The job revolves around a trading platform, as such experience in this field is highly desired.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Experienced in using Jira and Azure DevOps in an Agile Environment
• Mandatory in C#, .Net, SQL Server, Internet Information services (IIS) and Web services / windows services
• Understanding of GIT concepts
• Ability to write and execute automated test scripts
• Exposure to Messaging ideally ZMQ or similar
• Support by Design approach to development
• Experience in engaging with internal end customers to clarify requirements and perform ‘show and tells’
• Proven ability to estimate accurately and meet delivery deadlines
• Ability to break down features into sub tasks and manage time to deliver the feature
o Azure DevOps for branching and Source Control, build and deployment
