Position Description:

The Automation Lab Administrator has broad knowledge of administering Automation (Control Systems, Instrumentation Systems, Safety Systems, SCADA Systems) and IT Systems.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

The role is responsible for setting up and maintaining the systems required for the process automation technology group to test their business-critical technology before deploying it to site. The administrator will work with the project team to understand requirements for the system. They will work with automation suppliers to procure the required equipment and systems for the work. They will set up and configure the automation and IT Systems with the assistance of the project team. Finally, they will support the project team in their QA Testing work.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Base Instrumentation (field instrumentation and analyzer systems)

• Support for DCS and Process Computer Systems Integration such as Yokogawa CentumVP, Emerson DeltaV Integration and Honeywell TPS and Experion Integration

• Electrical and Grounding design and troubleshooting for Process Control and automation systems

• Communications for intercommunications between control and Automation systems

• Fiber Optic Design, Testing and Maintenance for DTS use

• Knowledgeable in support of Gasoline Blending

• Knowledge in the networking of Control Systems infrastructure

• High level of expertise in Electronic and Mechanical Fabrication

• Field experience with responsibility for multiple instrumentation, analyzer, and Process Control (DCS) systems

• Possess analysis skills for a broad range of Automation and IT Technology

• Possess working knowledge on Hyper-V, VM-Ware, router, switch and firewall along with managing domain controller server

• IT/electronic shop on oscilloscope, multimeter, soldering iron and splicing cable

Soft Skills Required:

• Able to collaborate with others to achieve common goals.

• Good customer relationship skills

• constantly seeks to champion customer needs and provide thorough communications on matters affecting the customer in a timely manner

• Troubleshoot /problem solving in mission critical digital and automation systems in a timely manner

• Ability to "think outside the box"

• Provide Q/A activities on projects.

• Courage in confronting difficult issues.

• Excellent at improvising solutions and delivery focused

• Expand current infrastructure to support newly identified initiatives

• Develop Best Practices in the deployment of R&D project that we have staged in the WDSL.

This position requires resources local to Houston, Texas.
