Position Description:

CGI has an immediate need for a Software Development Engineer in Test II to join our financial services team in Herndon, VA. Your future duties and responsibilities:

In this role, you will act as a key participant in application analysis, test strategy development, test execution, defect tracking, and reporting. You should have exposure / experience with Selenium and Gherkin/Cucumber. The role is for candidates who can work independently with minimal guidance and contribute to agile development projects in a very fast paced environment. The current deployment is part of a larger roadmap of Cloud enablement at a large enterprise and selected candidates will have a very exciting environment, management visibility and lot of growth potential.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 6-8 years of experience in Application Development / Test Automation

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong experience with Java based automation solutions such as Selenium / LeanFT

• Experience with Test Management tool such as ALM / JIRA

• Experience with Agile/Scrum environment

• Strong skills in SQL development and working with different databases such as Oracle, SQL Server , or Netezza

• Exposure to UNIX environment and commands. (Intermediate knowledge)

• Exposure to Autosys Jobs execution and validation

• Experience with Continuous integration process and developing automation solutions to assistance in CICD

• Experience with Test Data Creation, Data Comparison and validation

• Exposure to Cucumber / Gherkin

• Any AWS knowledge experience is an added plus.

Education Requirements:

1) Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
