This IT Logistics position will manage equipment, property, and other material including computer and system information systems and software. Implement tracking, purchasing, inventory of TRADOC G2 Fort Leavenworth equipment and aid in the lifecycle replacement of IT hardware and software. The IT Logistics position will provide IT Plans and Operations Support and assist with IT hardware asset management and accountability.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Performs inventory management, cataloging, warehouse management, material coordination, data entry, maintenance, and property control in accordance with Army Command Supply Discipline regulations with an emphasis on Information Technology (IT) hardware and software inventory and tracking. May use a variety of logistics automation and information technology assets.
Applies knowledge of receiving, storing, picking, issuing and shipping as well as inventory management and maintenance activities. Works under general supervision performing warehousing, packaging, shipping, and maintenance of equipment.
Prepares periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock. Requisitions articles to fill incoming orders. Compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments.
Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoice. Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications. Stores articles in bins, on floor or on shelves, according to identifying information, such as style, size or type of material.
May mark identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles. May distribute stock among production workers, keeping records of material issued. May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
A Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university is required; additional experience related to work may be substituted in lieu of educational requirement.
Minimum of two (2) years of general experience in warehouse operations or any of the logistics' disciplines (supply, transportation, maintenance, and property accountability).
Must be capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling very heavy parts and loads.
Demonstrated ability to meet the responsibilities as described above.
Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills and must possess the ability to communicate effectively with USG customers, executive and senior leadership, and support management staff.
Be familiar the Army Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO) and Property Book Office (PBO) processes and documentation.
A Secret clearance is required for this role.
Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
Experience with WASP Inventory Control Software is desirable.
Experience with SharePoint content management is desirable.
