Position Description:

CGI Federal is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the Executive Office of Immigration Review - Office of Policy (Immigration Law Division)

Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Reviewing, analyzing and screening a high volume of correspondence received directly from the public

  • Working with Attorneys and other senior staff to research issues raised

  • Preparing and editing written responses to public inquiries

  • Utilizing an interagency electronic database to input and track comments and responses

  • Assures that the database is current and accurate for those items entered

  • Gathers and compiles data for reports

  • Keeps informed of priority issues and Governmental activities in general to ensure that official correspondence is assigned in conformance with established policies

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Must be able to prioritize work for a number of people

  • Attention to detail, and experience working with others in a team situation

  • Must have the ability to operate a variety of office applications and equipment

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Any combination of related experience as an administrative assistant, secretary, program assistant or related field.

• Experience with various software, i.e., Windows XP, WordPerfect, MS Word, Lotus 1 2 3, Excel, and Quattro Pro.

• Excellent written and interpersonal communications skills.

• Ability to successfully complete a CGI Background Investigation to include, 50 State Criminal, Education, Employment, Credit and Driving Records Checks to start employment.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance (Moderate Risk Public Trust) to start employment.

• Due to the nature of this government contract, US Citizenship is required.

• Some bending and lifting may be required (able to lift approx.. 30 lbs)

• Possible filing may be required.

• This is an expected 40 hour work week position

Hourly Rate: $38.21/hour (non-negotiable)

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
