Position Description:

CGI is looking for an Automation Technical Lead to help our client modernize their existing automation infrastructure and to build new automation tooling using their Citizen Developer toolset. We need an experienced Developer who has work with one or more automation tools and is able to assist our client in choosing the right mix of tools to build reliable solutions for their business needs. Leading a team of Developers, the Technical Lead will navigate the changing broader technical landscape to achieve better, more transparent business outcomes. Must be able to learn new technologies rapidly in order to best understand how to leverage them for the client.

This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

You will be required to be in our Fairfax, VA office two days per week.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Work with Business and Financial Analysts to understand the operational requirements

  • Design, document and explain to non-technical team members how designed solutions will work to meet the business needs

  • Mentor junior technical staff in problem solving and learning new technologies

  • Decipher and understand older technical solutions to determine their long-term viability

  • Work with the established Citizen Developer program to integrate new and existing automation solutions into the client's pipeline

  • Work within an Agile environment to support both new development and O&M of existing applications

  • Participate in daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint demos and other Agile ceremonies

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Due to the nature of the government contracts, this position requires US Citizenship

  • 15+ years of development experience in the Information Technology field using a mix of different technologies

  • 7+ years of experience with low-code/no-code tools such as UIPath, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Power Apps, Salesforce and ServiceNow

  • 3+ years of experience delivering solutions using DevSecOps

  • Experience with SQL and data analytics

  • Experience leading development teams

  • Experience delivering as part of Agile Development teams

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication skills

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

  • Experience with Visual Basic

  • Experience with Jenkins building CI/CD pipelines

  • Certification in UIPath, ServiceNow, or Microsoft Power Apps

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $137,500.00 - $297,700.00.
