Position Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Security Subject Matter Expert to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our client’s information systems and data, as well as developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and standards.
As a Security Subject Matter Expert, you will work closely with various project managers and client’s to ensure compliance with all applicable Federal Government, and HUD rules and regulations, and IT security standards (FedRAMP, NIST, FISMA, FISCAM, etc.). Manages all the security requirements on new or enhanced systems, applications and infrastructure changes with robust security testing to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities and weaknesses. Ensures that all information systems are functional and secure in order to protect information and prevent unauthorized access. Ensures all SA&A artifacts are complete, updated and reviewed annually.
This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
The selected candidate is responsible for maintaining the Authorization to Operate (ATO) status of information systems based on the NIST Special Publication guidelines and ITIL guidelines.
The position puts emphasis on integrating security within configuration management (CM) and different system development lifecycle (SDLC) processes (Waterfall, Agile, DevSecOps). It also provides guidance, processes, and procedures for achieving and maintaining compliance with Federal laws and regulations.
The candidate is expected to work with minimal supervision, lead teams, accept greater responsibility for completion of assignments, commensurate with level of experience.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
(a) Due to the nature of the contract requirements, US citizenship and successful passing of CGI background check is required prior to beginning work. In addition, candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Government Public Trust clearance.
(b) Bachelor's degree and minimum of 8 years of experience working on cybersecurity teams for enterprise cybersecurity shared services programs or Cloud programs.
(c) Extensive background and experience supporting active Federal Information Security Certification and Accreditation (C&A), Continuous Monitoring, and Risk Management Framework.
(d) Significant experience producing Information Security Documentations such as Systems Security Plans and developing and maintaining documentation outlining system operating environments (overall mission, floor layout, hardware configuration, software, type of information processed, user organizations and security clearances, operating mode, interconnections to other systems/networks of users, their security personnel, and associated responsibilities) for systems which they are responsible.
(e) Experience developing and revising system-specific security safeguards and local operating procedures that are based on relevant guidelines and regulations.
(f) Extensive experience with NIST SP 800-37, Rev 1.0, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-137 and FedRAMP requirements and providing guidance to project teams on those guidelines and regulations.
(g) Experience developing, supporting and providing security incident reports, equipment/software inventories, operating instructions, technical vulnerability reports, contingency plans and reports.
(h) Experience coordinating and conducting regular system security audits in support of compliance with the overall System Security Plan to maintain Authority to Operate status.
(i) Experience briefing technical vulnerabilities, system non-compliance with Information Security policies, and security incidents to project teams and executive level management.

• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
Having all of these certifications is a big plus.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $122,200.00 - $235,200.00.
