Position Description:

CGI Federal is looking for a Senior Business Analyst for one of our exciting Health IT projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working through the full system development lifecycle and possess a systems/database/programmatic mindset. Additionally, candidates should have solid written and verbal communications skills.

The project utilizes a variety of design and development techniques to respond to client demands for meeting the challenges of healthcare reform and open government directives. CGI Federal provides in-depth functional and technical expertise, offering clients a focused set of solutions that help federal health organizations to become more productive, cost-effective, secure and service-oriented.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

The successful candidate will interface with CGI Federal clients to gather business and functional requirements, and perform technical analysis for the enhancement of an application designed to meet core Program needs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Identify and validate clients’ business needs and requirements

• Lead requirements workshops sessions to identify business needs, functional and system requirements

• Identify options for potential solutions, prioritize them based on business value, and present findings to client representatives.

• Analyze and develop mockups based on business understanding. Prototype user interface designs using Visio, Excel and/or other design tools

• Produce detailed requirements documents, including requirements traceability matrices and other the project required templates

• Collaborate with the development and testing team to ensure implementation of the needed business, functional and system requirements

• Communicate complex and technical information to the client in business terms.

• Present product demos on an as needed basis.

• Adhere to best practices and established processes using Sharepoint and Jira

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 5-8 years of Business Analysis experience

• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

• Deep understanding of full Software Development Lifecycle, including gathering and defining requirements, collaborating with development and testing teams, and maintaining documentation

• Experience managing detailed work across multiple work-streams

• Experience building a strong relationship with clients and team members

• Ability to become Subject Matter Expert (SME) on business domains

• Ability to analyze client needs and provide solutions

• Ability to effectively communicate and present data, analyses, and business recommendations

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with the Federal Healthcare

• Experience working in a CMMI Level 3 or higher environment

• Familiar with Jira and Sharepoint

• SQL knowledge (or an interest and aptitude in acquiring SQL knowledge)
