Position Description:

CGI is seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage multiple software development tasks and provide oversight of all work streams. In this role, you will utilize Agile IT project management methodologies as well as provide leadership, direction and integrate activities with other IT departments to ensure successful implementation and support.

Responsible for managing client systems by providing and/or enhancing software development and perform required systems engineering life cycle (SELC) analysis, design, programming and testing while maintaining all the systems at their operational targets including SAP Financial. The program manager will lead the technical support personnel who are experts in the SELC process and information technology. Other objectives include the team to complete mainframe retirement, implement Dev/Sec/Ops environment, complete Cloud migration while implementing strict security measures, especially SAP, and reduce cost of operations.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Hands-on and required to work closely with operations leads, PMO Analysts, team leads, and partners

  • Review schedule activities, status, and results with government, DPM, Operations Lead, other Delivery Managers, and team as required

  • Implement baseline changes of the client system by collaborating with applicable stakeholders

  • Identify, develop, and implement processes improving scheduling and coordination efforts in delivering the services associated with the associated Tasks for the assigned Group or agency

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required

  • Current DoD Top Secret clearance preferred

  • Holds a PMP and other technical or management certifications (ex. Scaled Agile, ITIL v3, Certified Scrum Master)

  • Bachelors degree with 10-15 years of experience in creating and managing projects with resource loaded schedules, Gantt charts, and dependencies or Master’s degree with 5-7 years’ experience in project management

  • Proven ability to manage customer expectations

  • Experience managing application portfolios comprised of upwards of 100 diverse and complex applications

  • Experience managing projects that transform mainframe and non-mainframe application portfolio’s to the cloud

  • Managing projects using EVM to track and communicate progress

  • Knowledge and experience with DHS / CBP mission and in quality analysis i.e.,

  • Understanding of critical path analysis of schedules

  • Outstanding reporting skills, e.g. graphical presentation, advanced Microsoft Office skills

  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills

  • Attention to detail coupled with effective analytical and problem-solving aptitude

  • Ability to establish working relations at all organizational levels and demonstrate ability to diplomatically and effectively deal with Government officials and program office product owner and stakeholders

  • Self-motivator with ability to work as part of a team or independently with little supervision or direction

  • Ability to balance and prioritize many diverse tasks at once

  • Experience in establishing new processes

  • Knowledge and experience using agile and SecDevOps frameworks for application enhancement and O&M

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to establish operational objectives and work plans, and delegate assignments to subordinates

  • Ability to manage through leads and supervisors the activities of the various tasks for a government client
