Position Description:

Project team is looking for a mid level resource to join the technical team located in Fairfax, VA to implement enhancements for a growing web based system in a DevOps environment. The system is built using Java/J2EE technologies, web services and hosted in the clients AWS cloud environment. Developer must be a team player, fast learner and enthusiastic to learn and prototype new technologies that benefit the system. The system has migrated to the cloud recently and this position offers an excellent opportunity to build the DevOps framework from scratch.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Participate in design discussions

Implement and unit test code for functionality, 508 accessibility and performance

Evaluate and prototype features relevant to the system using new technologies

Configuration management support on a rotation basis

Tier 3 support for post production on a rotation basis

Maintain cloud environment

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

At least 3 years of Java/J2EE experience

Experience working with web services


Fast Learner

Strong analytical skills



Experience setting up web and application servers

Familiarity with cloud operations

AWS certification
