CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for an IT Training Specialist. You will enhance the cyber security posture of 26 civilian government agencies through improved visibility into user credential management. You will actively identify and mitigate a wide range of cyber risks and will also work closely with a wide variety of agencies, learning their mission, priorities, organization and unique challenges. This opportunity will support a dynamic, fast-paced and energetic project running 20+ concurrent implementations.
Serve as the CGI CDM Program Training Specialist delivering capabilities and services for a major cyber security program supplying training and guidance to all contract personnel for DHS and other targeted agencies and organizations participating in the CDM Program. The successful candidate for this position is a motivated individual, with a strong commitment to developing training and education materials for a technical personnel. They excel at integrating creative training techniques. The successful candidate is a self-starter who works effectively in a highly dynamic environment.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Conducts technical training courses for customers and/or employees in the use of complex situations for multiple products.
Interacts with customer and functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses.
Prepares lesson plans from security and engineering documentation, field service requirements or software documentation.
Works with security, engineering and technical support to ensure that course material reflects current product features and capabilities.
Instructs participants in both classroom lectures and laboratory sessions.
Follows up to determine applicability of course material.
Ensures coordination of training requests, schedules and other related activities.
Assists in the development and maintenance of project training database, training plans and documentation of training activities.
Prepares briefing materials on the status of training.
Maintains and coordinates department activity schedule.
Prepares summary and resource materials to support training, assist with curriculum development and implementation, written policies and procedures, tools and guides, training changes notifications and outreach materials.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
Bachelor's degree + 2 years of experience.
2-5 years of experience in developing training materials.
Experience in developing technical training courseware.
Ability to develop and integrate cyber security solution training materials across a diverse and heterogeneous IT environments across multiple government agencies.
Excellent writing skills.
- Experience in formatting training materials using Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
