Position Description:

We have an outstanding opportunity for a Business Development Market Analyst Lead to join our shared services consulting team. The analyst is a proactive lead generator, actively monitoring and making connections within the IT market to identify sales opportunities for CGI Federal’s market leading IP and services related to digital transformation, emerging technologies, and back office systems. The analyst is also responsible for developing insights into the market that will be used for strategic business decisions. A keen understanding of Information Technology opportunity management and early opportunity identification across the government is key to this role, as is deep knowledge of market data points and the ability to develop insightful analysis.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Perform detailed, forward looking market analysis using government, industry, and CGI data.

• Develop data-driven insights that can be used to guide white space pursuits and intellectual property direction.

• Monitor GovWin,, and other sources for business development opportunities.

• Attend conferences, association meetings, and other networking events to create connections and promote CGI IP and services.

• Use connections and other resources to identify potential opportunities as early as possible in the sales cycle.

• Work with CGI Federal leadership and business units to find opportunities worth pursuing.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor’s Degree and 5-10+ years’ experience working with federal IT business development.

• Ability to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of federal IT offerings and capabilities.

• Extensive knowledge of federal opportunities sources and their underlying data.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas in easily understood terms.

• Ability to quickly establish credibility with potential customers and peers.

• Critical thinking skills.

• Ability to work independently with little direction.

• Ability to travel across the DC Metro area.
