Position Description:

CGI is actively seeking a senior business consultant, preferably with federal accounting experience, to join the team supporting an agency with improving their finance and accounting business and systems processes. The CGI Partner would join a well-established team in support of a dynamic task to support the client’s efforts to prepare for the generation of financial statements and associated audit. The CGI Partner would get the chance to work closely with and learn from team members with significant federal financial management expertise as they complete analysis, recommend and assist in implementing improvements, and provide documentation and training to the client. This is a great client-facing opportunity to expand your federal financial management and consulting experience.

The position is located in Fairfax, VA at the CGI office, but hybrid work from home, office, or client site in Washington, DC is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

-Develop strong, trusted relationships with clients

-Engage clients in elicitation, ideation, and planning

-Conduct business process reengineering (BPR) including analyzing current state, recommending improvements, and assisting with implementing recommendations.

-Document issues and resolutions, process maps, standard operating procedures, as well as other documentation as needed clearly and concisely.

-Assist with preparing training materials and conducting informal and formal training as needed.

-Manage project schedule and report out status of each task area, risks, issues, and items requiring management attention

-Lead client status meetings and document outcomes of those meetings.

-Assist with developing Momentum system posting model recommendations following Treasury’s United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL) guidelines.

-Support Government wide Treasury Account Symbol (GTAS) and financial statement reporting, including analyzing issues, reviewing Momentum system configuration, and recommending changes.

-Support financial statement audit preparation including identifying issues and data cleansing.

-Perform general ledger analysis and reconciliation, identifying transactional issues and recommending solutions.

-Learn and be involved in client business development activities including presentations and proposals

-Proactively identify business opportunities that enhance client outcomes and market-leading innovations and solutions that can support client mission

-Build strong consulting skills and relevant domain knowledge to provide strong client connection and impact
