Position Description:

CGI Federal is seeking a motivated and customer-oriented professional to support a large federal client. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing cloud architecture solutions to meet the organization's needs for scalability, reliability, and security.

This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Cloud Architecture Design:

Design and implement cloud architecture solutions that meet the organization's needs for scalability, reliability, and security.

Develop and document cloud strategies, including cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, and cloud management and monitoring.

Cloud Infrastructure Management:

Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure, ensuring it meets performance, security, and compliance requirements.

Oversee cloud migration initiatives, including planning, execution, and validation.

Proven experience managing large-scale, data-intensive AWS or Azure environments for Federal customers.

Demonstrated knowledge of big data (e.g., Snowflake) and data processing (e.g., Databricks) integrations with Cloud platforms.

Security and Compliance:

Implement and manage cloud security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Conduct regular security assessments and audits of cloud infrastructure.

Proven understanding of the NIST 800-53 controls for FedRAMP systems.

Collaboration and Support:

Collaborate with IT staff, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide cloud-based solutions.

Provide technical guidance and support for cloud-related issues and projects.

Performance Optimization:

Monitor and optimize cloud performance, including resource allocation, cost management, and system performance tuning.

Implement and manage cloud monitoring tools to ensure optimal performance and availability.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years focused on cloud architecture and cloud-based solutions.

Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.

Experience with cloud migration projects and cloud infrastructure management.

Experience with DevOps practices and tools.

Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.

Certification in relevant cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert).

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.

Proficiency in cloud architecture design and implementation.

Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.

Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.

Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $122,200.00 - $264,600.00.
