.NET Development Lead

Position Description

CGI is looking for a Lead .Net Developer who can come in and manage a fairly large team of developers in addition to design and architect experience and capability to jump into hands on development on a day to day basis. We are an international consulting company with local presence here in the Denver Tech Center with clients that reside all across the Denver Metro area so must be comfortable with local commute.

FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities for this role include:

• Provide architectural direction for a .NET/ASP.NET web application

• Provide team leadership for .NET/Web/Mobile Developers

• Establish development standards for Developers – UI, Coding, Reviews, Unit Tests

• Ensure Developers comply with established development standards and procedures

• Work effectively in a dynamic Agile/Scrum environment

• Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members, project leadership and the client

• Raise/Escalate issues and provide status on an ongoing basis

• Develop web application using Visual Studio

• Create a web application that follows a responsive design patterns – transitions, modern design, HTML5 compliant

• Design, develop and maintain applications based on business requirements

• Communicate with business analysts to gather accurate specifications for new enhancements

• Translate requirements into functional code and business logic

• Strong written/verbal communication skills required

• Communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members and project leadership

• Work in a distributed team environment

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree. Computer Science degree strongly preferred

• 7+ years software development experience

• 3+ years web development experience

• 2+ years development lead experience

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment

• Understanding of object-oriented design, MVC architecture, modern web/mobile application, and

relational database design

• Knowledge of .NET Framework and ability to work with C#, ASP.NET, Razor, WCF, MVC and ADO.NET

• Knowledge of client-side technologies such as JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, HTML5 and CSS

• Experience working with relational databases e.g. Oracle

• Experience using SQL with the ability to write SQL queries, stored procedures, functions and triggers

• Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio

• Experience using Team Foundation Server (TFS) for source control and build management
