Your future duties and responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Level 2 application support
o On-call Pager rotation
o Receiving and acknowledging tickets
o Incident triaging and priority assessment
o Assignment of incidents
o Incident resolution
o Application monitoring and preventive maintenance
o Weekly status and SLA reporting
Incident and problem management
o Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve complex production application defects
o Identify root cause and devise and implement permanent solutions to recurring defects
o Manage process improvements
o Review and take actions on operational metrics reporting
o Perform minor application upgrades / patches
o Support infrastructure maintenance / validation
o Build and maintain application monitoring, optimization and utilization
o Devise or modify programs to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
o Support disaster recovery testing / validation
o Support business resiliency testing / validation
o Audit support and issue remediation
o Support LOB/operations and adhoc requests
o Analyze business user needs and provide optimal technical solutions
o Support Risk management (vulnerabilities, patches)
o Monitor production jobs and environments
o Code new programs, enhance existing programs and/or integrate packaged vendor solutions with existing systems.
o Documents, tests (unit and integration), implements and provides on-going support for the applications.
o Follow SDLC standards, source code management, and release management procedures.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
This is an intermediate level position with 5 years of relevant technical experience
o Experience in .Net Technologies or Java/J2EE & Mainframe Technologies is highly desired.
o 3+ years of experience in the support role
o Well versed with Dynatrace, BMC, CA-7, ITSM
o Experience in global delivery model working and leading an offshore team
o Well versed in technical concepts, strong analytical and problem solving skills
o Able to confidently interact with client’s Technical Lead/Manager.
o Thrive in being part of a multiple project environment; highly motivated and client focused to deliver assignments as per schedule.
o Researches and evaluates alternative technical solutions and educates offshore team members.
o Demonstrated ability to propose the most efficient and cost-effective solutions.
Education: BS in Computer Science, Business or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education
